Our company has retained Computershare Investor Services, LLC as our Registrar and Transfer Agent and dividend disbursing agent. At our request, Computershare maintains a telephone response center as a convenience to our shareholders. An automated voice response system is available 24 hours a day. Please have your account number or Social Security Number available. Representatives are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CT) Monday through Friday to assist you with the following:

 

  • Account information
  • Address changes
  • Dividend information
  • Direct deposit of dividends
  • Registration changes
  • Replacement of lost, stolen or destroyed certificates

Manage Your Computershare Account

For online access to your CME Computershare account, log on to www.computershare.com and click on "Investor Centre" located under the Shareholder Services section and follow these instructions:

  • Click on the "Create Login" box
  • Enter the ticker symbol, tax ID # and five digit zip code (for U.S. holders)
  • Go to the alternative registration page if you live outside the U.S., or wish to use the account number instead of tax ID #. You will then be prompted to create a logon name and password.
  • You will also need to provide your email address and telephone numbers

Note from Computershare:

  • If you have registered your shares with your tax ID and your portfolio is valued less than $100,000, you will have full access to your account immediately.
  • If you have registered using your account number and/or your portfolio is valued over $100,000, you will have restricted access to your account. You will be able only to view your portfolio holdings, account details, cert details, eDelivery options, user details, user ID/password, tax certification and payment details. You need an activation code to view pending transactions, transaction history, statements, and to execute transactions. Computershare mails activation codes to the address of record. When you have your code, you can can log on to Investor Centre and enter the code to gain full access.

Option 1

DRS Profile System/DTC Transfer


Check the "Electronic Transfer" box on the Direct Registration Transaction Request Form indicating the number of shares to be transferred to your designated broker. Sign and return the original to:

IMPORTANT: The signature on the form must be Medallion guaranteed. The Medallion Guarantee is a form of signature verification that you can obtain from a commercial bank, trust company, securities broker, credit union or savings institution participating in the Medallion Signature Guarantee Program.

A certification from a notary public is not acceptable.
To complete the form, you will need the following information:

  • Broker name
  • Broker customer account number
  • Broker's participant number, i.e., 4-digit DTC participant number

Option 2

DWAC (Deposit and Withdrawal at Custodian) Transfer

To transfer shares out of Computershare to a broker:

  • Broker initiates a deposit request using Computershare's DTC # 50108
  • Shareholder notifies CME Group Shareholder Relations Department by email to elizabeth.hausoul@cmegroup.com with the following information:
    • Name of broker
    • Broker DTC #
    • Computershare account number
    • Name on Computershare account
    • Number of shares being transferred
  • CME Group Shareholder Relations authorizes Computershare to process the request.

To transfer shares into Computershare from a broker:

  • Broker initiates a withdrawal request using Computershare's DTC # 50108
  • Shareholder notifies CME Group Shareholder Relations Department by email to elizabeth.hausoul@cmegroup.com with the following information:
    • Name of broker
    • Broker DTC #
    • Computershare account number
    • Name on Computershare account
    • Number of shares being transferred
  • CME Group Shareholder Relations authorizes Computershare to process the request.

Occasionally, your broker may charge a fee for transferring shares via a DWAC Electronic Delivery. The shareholder is responsible for the fees.

  • Immediate receipt of proxy materials (Proxy Statement, Annual Report to Shareholders, online proxy voting access)
  • Elimination of bulky documents
  • Reduction of CME Group printing and mailing expenses
  • Online proxy voting

If you are a registered shareholder (i.e., you do not hold your shares through a bank or brokerage firm) and you have registered for online account access at www.computershare.com, simply go to www.computershare.com/us/sc/cme. Click on the "Electronic Shareholder Communications" link to sign up for electronic delivery. Your enrollment in electronic delivery will be effective until cancelled.
