The financial statements for Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively, "CME") have been prepared in response to the Securities and Exchange Commission's Order Granting Temporary Exemptions under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 in Connection with the Request of Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. and Citadel Investment Group, L.L.C. Related to Central Clearing of Credit Default Swaps and Request for Comments (Release No. 34-59578; File No. S7-06-09) (the "Order"). Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CME Group Inc. ("CME Group"). CME Group Inc.'s Class A common stock is listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol "CME".
